Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell (born 25th August, 1949) is an American TV chef who is a popular personality. She also was an instructor for the Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and also serves as the host of Worst Cooks in America. Her signature spiky blonde hair and her pumped-up appearance, Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of restaurant dishes and reveals concise easy-to-master techniques to cook at home in her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell has also worked at several of the most prestigious restaurants in New York, studied the culinary landscape and traditions of Italy, and battled on Food Network's Iron Chef America. Growing up in the Upstate New York area, Chef Burrell developed a passion for food and cooking at a young age. She pursued her love of the restaurant industry by enrolling at The Culinary Institute of America following her graduation in English as well as Communication at Canisius College, Buffalo NY. I was awed by every minute of being a student in The Culinary Institute of America she states. I couldn't learn or do enough. After graduating of the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and Chef Burrell took a full year in Italy studying and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star in Tuscany. In Italy she acquired an appreciation for and appreciation for Italian culinary traditions. This had an enormous effect on the way she thinks about food. Burrell was an Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board members, which strives to improve the quality of life for children facing challenges. Burrell also serves as a Juvenile Disease Research Foundation's celebrity ambassador, and is a vocal advocate for awareness of the dangers of childhood diabetes. as a speaker, guest and teacher, she travels around the U.S. to share her love for cooking and professional career. Anne in all her experience in the kitchen, has declared that it is a privilege to be in a position to share this passion for the food industry with people.
