Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay champion. She competes currently within the UFC Flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko who was a former UFC Flyweight title holder as well as UFC fellow fighter is her elder sister. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sporting career with an Muay Thai boxer. She debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko was the winner of the event and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals via unanimous decision. Antonina continued to win with a silver-medal in 2007 a bronze medal in 2008 and a gold award in 2011, and was the 2015 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. Antonina has fought her last time against Isa Tsidblad Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was able to win with a majority. Antonina Schevchenko set professional MMA records in 2002 when she fought Anara Bazanova at KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She won the fight by second round TKO and won her next 2-fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003 to amass an overall record of three-three. Shevchenko was forced to take a time off from MMA and devoted her time to kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 with Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa by unanimous decision after which she beat Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She left in 2018 the competition and began competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko wrestled Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina TKO'd Nievera with her striking skills that were superior at the end of the fight by using knees on the body. Antonina's UFC contract was extended after this win. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko lost to Roxanne Modafferi via split decision following her first fight. Antonina has recovered from her defeat by beating Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler via a rear-naked choke submission. This earned her the bonus of a fight-of-the night. Shevchenko lost 1-2 during her subsequent three bouts she lost to Ariane Lipski before falling to Katlyn Chookagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
